This workshop is offered exclusively as part of the JMU Safety Champion Series.

Description: Chemicals, Weather Related Disasters and CPR/AED - When we think of chemicals, we tend to think of laboratory facilities. What chemicals do we have in our buildings that we need to consider for safety? Learn how to read labels and find information on chemicals. In the second part of this session, learn about weather related disasters and how to keep you and everyone safe. The third part of the session will provide basics of CPR and AED use.

  • Learn basics of chemicals, what we have and how to handle and store them
  • How to protect yourself and others during disasters and weather related events
  • Learn what CPR is and how to become certified
  • Learn the basics of AED machines
  • Have fun and make a difference!
