Emerging Leaders (TD1049)

Mon, 20 Apr 2020 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Location: Wine-Price Building

Session 8 of 8

Description: Would you like to be a supervisor, but are unsure of the tools that you need? Or are you already a supervisor and want to brush up on your skills? Emerging Leaders will help you to expand your tool kit.

Those who lead others have a challenging and potentially very fulfilling opportunity to play a critical role in their organization and our university community. The demands are considerable. Yet, if you are interested in a chance to make a difference in the lives of others and an opportunity to grow, you have found the right job. While any job keeps you busy with a long list of tasks, as a leader, none will be as important as the leadership and guidance you provide to those who report to you.

Session 8: The Cherry Tree Approach

This professional development course will help participants recognize the importance of integrity and honesty in a leadership role. After completing this module you will be able to:

  • Define integrity
  • Develop strategies for making ethical decisions

Presented by: Rick Larson, AVP, Human Resources, Training and Performance; Lori Pyle, Ethical Reasoning in Action
