Phi Sigma Tau talk: Dr. Jude Dougherty on Aristotle

Fri, 1 Dec 2017 10:15 AM - 11:45 AM

On Friday Dec. 1, at 10:15 in the Maclean Conference Room [Cleveland 114] Dr. Jude Dougherty, Dean Emeritus of the School of Philosophy, The Catholic University of America, will speak on the topic, Pateras Aristoteles. His talk will be on the influence of Aristotle on both ethics and science.
This is the last event this semester that is sponsored by the Virginia Gamma Chapter of Phi Sigma Tau, and we hope you will all take advantage to hear one of the foremost and internationally known philosophers. Dr. Dougherty will speak for about 40 minutes and then entertain questions, on his topic and/or on the academic aspects of philosophy. Having been dean of a preeminent school of philosophy, he is well informed about movements in philosophy and its history as well as current topics in philosophy.
Hope to see you all there!
