Individual scholarly productivity will be fostered through participation in a writing accountability community that encourages and supports the cultivation and completion of a journal article over a 3-week period. This facilitated scholarship community offers faculty in-person space to: share and learn tips and strategies for successful publications; develop academic writing habits; dedicate time to writing and editing; and celebrate success. Over the 3-week period, participants will need to commit to being present for three, semi-structured, 3.5-hour meetings in person. Participants will also share their progress, tips, reflections, and hardships through an online accountability page to support each other. Whether working on a new manuscript or making revisions, this experience will help scholars move toward their writing goals.

Here’s some ways faculty members from different academic units have reflected on their experience:

  • “LOVED this group! I got through making substantial edits to a theoretical paper and sent it off to a coauthor, + data analysis for a different project.”
  • “This was wonderful. Thank you for organizing this space to your own scholarship and meet other faculty sharing similar challenges. Would definitely do this again.”
  • “Loved the dedicated time to write and the group of people I met! great job encouraging everyone throughout the process.”
  • “This group and regular meetings are really helpful. It ensures me to save and secure the time to work on scholarship. Previously, I always tried to fulfill other responsibility and push research back. Learning from colleagues who face similar issues on how they tackle those issues is helpful too.”

This program will strictly follow all safety measures related to COVID-19.
