Practice Listening and Asking Powerful Questions (Online Roundtable)

Join fellow faculty to work on skills that are especially useful for mentoring conversations and other situations that require careful listening. Faculty involved in mentoring will have the opportunity to exchange mentoring experiences. We offer several Zoom sessions to help participants practice deep listening and asking powerful (open-ended and thought-provoking) questions. Sessions are 45 minutes in length, which includes half an hour of 1-on-1 conversations.

Facilitators:

 

Faculty participants will make progress toward these program outcomes:

  • Developing deep listening skills; and
  • Developing the ability to ask good mentoring questions.

Faculty participants will make progress toward this career planning outcome:

  • Developing and fostering productive mentoring and networking relationships.
