Practice Your Mentoring Skills (Online Roundtable)

We invite faculty peer mentors to mentor each other on:

  • Monday, 10/26 from 9-9:45 AM;
  • Friday, 10/30 from 4-4:45 PM;
  • Monday, 11/2 from 12-12:45 PM; or
  • Wednesday, 11/4 from 1-1:45 PM.

Join fellow faculty peer mentors to practice your mentoring skills with another mentor and exchange mentoring experiences. We offer several Zoom sessions to help mentors practice deep listening skills, asking powerful (open-ended and thought-provoking) questions, and helping mentees set goals. Sessions are 45 minutes in length, which includes half an hour of 1-on-1 conversations.


Faculty participants will make progress toward these program outcomes:

  • Developing deep listening skills; and
  • Developing the ability to ask good mentoring questions.

Faculty participants will make progress toward this career planning outcome:

  • Developing and fostering productive mentoring and networking relationships.
