Submitting Scholarship With Students: Publishing Undergraduate Research

In partnership with JMU Libraries, this roundtable will present options for faculty to submit and publish their work with students. Presenters will explore traditional and emerging publishing options for student research. Participants will be able to share their approach to publishing student research and determine if there are other pathways that they have not explored. This session will also open new pathways for participants to publish their own research.

Participants will make progress toward these program outcomes:

  • Publishing personal and student research through new avenues, and
  • Identifying unknown publishing strategies with faculty peers.

Participants will make progress toward these scholarship outcomes:

  • Appreciating the diverse forms, purposes, and communication modes of scholarship in higher education, and
  • Forming collaborative scholarly projects with students, faculty, & staff at JMU and other institutions.
