The Media, Gender, and the 2016 Elections (Flashpoint)

Fall 2016’s first Flashpoint brings together JMU faculty experts in Political Science, Communication, English, Religion, and Women and Gender Studies, to engage with students, faculty, and local community members in a discussion of how gender has been covered in local, regional, and national media, and its greater importance to this year’s election. 

Panelists:  

  • Dr. Tim Ball, Communication Studies,
  • Dr. Jennifer Connerley, Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies and Cross Disciplinary Studies,
  • Dr. Valerie Sulfaro, Political Science, and
  • Dr. Mary Thompson, WGS Coordinator/ English department.

Moderator:  Dr. Sarah Brooks, Art History and Center for Faculty Innovation.

Vistor parking:  Visitors are not required to display permits after 3:00 PM on Friday and may park in Commuter and Resident lots.  Mason Street and Warsaw Avenue parking desks are recommended.
