Writing Renewal Retreat

Tue, 7 Jun 2016 1:00 PM - Thu, 9 Jun 2016 1:00 PM

Location: Mountain Valley Retreat Center

Acceptances have already been sent for the Summer 2016 Cohort.

Seeking renewal for writing projects? Engage in a three-day writing retreat with a community of faculty writers at Mountain Valley Retreat Center at the base of Massanutten Mountain near Harrisonburg, VA.  Stimulate creativity and reconnect with scholarship passions as participants reflect, dialogue, and engage in advancing a writing or creative project.  Enjoy contemplative practices such as mindfulness mediation, nature walks, music, and more. Also learn more about technologies to increase writing motivation and to sustain the community of writers formed at the retreat. Renew as a writer and move toward completion of a writing project. Overnight stay encouraged, yet optional.  Meals and housing will be provided courtesy of the Center for Faculty Innovation.
