Dale Hulvey serves as the CIO and Assistant Vice President for Information Technology at James Madison University.  He provides overall leadership, vision and management of the IT organization consisting of four departments, Computing Support, Information Systems, Technical Services and Telecommunications.  He has worked in IT at JMU for nearly 30 years in various roles and served as Director of Technical Services in Information Technology prior to being named AVP in 2002.  He has led and participated in many IT projects at JMU.

Dale has a BS in Computer Science and a MBA from James Madison University. 

Dale reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Administration & Finance and serves as a advocate for the IT vision at the senior administrative level.

The communications and computing utilities that provides operations and administration of all central systems and networks. In addition, provides hardware repair and security engineering to the JMU campus.

Provides on-campus telephone, voice mail, cable TV, and other communications related infrastructure and services to JMU faculty, staff and students.

Student Technology Advisory Committee (STAC)

This Committee was created to provide greater student input into Information Technology services and policies. Students can raise issues directly to those responsible for particular services within Information Technology and other related technology areas at JMU.
