Dr. Amanda A. Randall is a behavior analyst and consultant who works with schools, families, and organizations to improve the lives and outcomes of individuals with disabilities. Dr. Randall is the Co-Director for the Virginia Department of Education’s Region 5 Training and Technical Assistant Center at James Madison University. She also teaches the autism certificate coursework through Outreach and Engagement and the EFEX department. She received her doctorate in special education from West Virginia University where her research and studies centered on applied behavior analysis, social skill development, adult education, and autism. Before joining the Virginia Department of Education, Dr. Randall spent six years in Massachusetts working with adolescents and adult disabilities. Her primary interests are in autism, behavior-based programming, transition and functional skills of individuals with disabilities, self-determination, and program development. Dr. Randall is a proud North Carolina native and East Carolina University graduate but currently lives in Virginia with her husband and two children. She is most passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities to live happy and socially fulfilling lives in their community.
