Professional Experience and Interests

David Mulford has 26 years of experience in managing Instructional Technologies in Higher Education and currently serves as the Director of Educational Technologies and Media Center at James Madison University, as well as teaching “Video for Learning” as an adjunct instructor in the CoE’s Learning Technology & Leadership department.

Mr. Mulford previously served as Media Technologies Director at Roanoke College, where he additionally held the positions of Director of the Instructional Technology Resource Center and Director of Media Services. Before serving at Roanoke, David was the Assistant Director of Media Technologies at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.

While at Roanoke, Mr. Mulford directly supported educational technologies for classroom teaching and completed a number of significant projects, including updating over 100 classroom spaces with educational technologies, building the campus radio station WRKE, and building the Television Studio in Fintel Library.

He has also taught communications and video production courses for the Communications Major.
