Advancement Liaison

Ginna Schenck Bauhan, a native of North Carolina, serves as the development contact for JMU’s College of Education. She originally joined James Madison University’s Planned Giving team in 2011 as Coordinator. After a period of working in Donor Relations at Washington and Lee University, Ginna returned as Assistant Director of Planned Giving in July 2019. A former JMU parent, Ginna is a member of JMU’s development team responsible for securing private support from alumni, parents and friends of the University primarily through bequests, other deferred gift techniques, and major gifts. Prior to development work, Ginna worked in the Harrisonburg City Schools, as a realtor, and in state and federal government. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ginna and her husband, Hobey, are parents of two adult daughters. She enjoys walking in the woodland sanctuary of JMU’s arboretum.
