Chief Operating Officer, Auberge Resorts Collection

Chris Gabaldon is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Auberge Resorts Collection in the Mill Valley, CA area.

His previous position was involved being responsible for Marriott International’s Luxury Brand of Hotels, located in the Western U.S. mainland.  These brands encompass The Ritz‐Carlton, Ritz‐Carlton Reserve, BVLGARI Hotels & Resorts, EDITION, The St. Regis, W and The Luxury Collection. His responsibilities include strategic operations and performance, brand initiatives, owner relations, General Manager appointments and hotel conversions and development.

An industry veteran of more than twenty‐five years, Mr. Gabaldon has enjoyed a successful career with both The Ritz‐Carlton Hotel Company, LLC and its parent company, Marriott International, Inc. Beginning his employment in food and beverage at Marriott’s Hilton Head Resort, his career has continued to progress through numerous operational and sales and marketing positions.

In 2012 Mr. Gabaldon was awarded the Brand Genius Award by AdWeek Magazine for the “Let Us Stay With You” campaign and was also ranked as one of the top 35 most socially savvy CMOs in American business.

An active member of the business community, Mr. Gabaldon is a member of the Hospitality and Tourism Board of Directors for James Madison University, where he is a frequent guest lecturer. He is also a former member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Global Board of Trustees. A very active and involved father, Mr. Gabaldon has coached numerous sports and is also a founding member of The Boy Scouts of America, Pack 1445.

Mr. Gabaldon earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University and his Master of Business Administration from George Mason University. He and his wife, Kim, currently reside in Virginia with their two children.
