Senior Director, Player Development, National Basketball Association (NBA)

Alexys Feaster is the Senior Director of Player Development at the NBA, most known for her work helping the 450 current NBA players and players recently out of the league, transfer their skills and passions to off the court success. From creating innovative programs to feed player interests to creating resources that strengthen NBA families; Alexys provides invaluable guidance to the league’s growing list of superstars. The Generation Next Program, notable for its support of the NBA’s most prominent young stars, was rebranded and reimagined under her leadership. She also serves as the executive ambassador for Dream in Color, the NBA’s Black Employee Resource Group.

Her commitment to engage athletes, celebrities and influencers to be empowered outside of their profession, goes back way before joining the NBA. In 2012, Alexys worked as the National Regional Surrogate Director for Obama’s reelection campaign. There, she led the strategy behind some of the biggest names speaking and performing during the campaign trail, including Jay-Z and Alicia Keys.

She has been recognized by Adweek as one of the 30 Most Powerful Women in Sports in 2019; is a recipient of the Culture Creators 2019 Innovators and Leaders award; highlighted as one of the 100 Most Influential Women Leaders by the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN); and profiled by The Network Journal as a 40 Under Forty outstanding young African-American professionals. 

She is currently an NBA Global Innovation Champion, an Advisory Board Member for the National Basketball Wives Association; a Board Member for the Hart School of Hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management at James Madison University; and a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Sports Consortium.
