Victoria Shemo is the Assistant Program Manager and CISR. Victoria graduated from JMU with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Philosophy in December 2022. She began at CISR in January 2022 as a research assistant. Her main research interests are combatting gender-based violence, how conflict impacts environment, and post-conflict recovery. Her passion for humanitarian efforts is coupled with her service in the United States Army Reserves. Victoria also works at University Recreation Center as an Adventure Trip Leader, is a member of Club Climbing, and served as the president of Model United Nations at JMU.
