The School of Mechanical Engineering is one of the very best Engineering departments in Australia by any measure, and is extremely competitive on a world scale. Our teaching and research facilities and staff are among the finest of any mechanical and materials engineering institution in the world. The School offers broad based degree programmes complemented by a wide range of research activities, and supported by excellent staff and facilities. Bachelor of Engineering degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering and Mechatronic Engineering and postgraduate degrees by research (Master of Engineering Science and Doctor of Philosophy) are all available. The teaching is done by highly qualified academic staff, many of whom are widely recognized international authorities in their respective areas of expertize and many of whom have received awards for the quality of their teaching. Therefore our graduates are consistently in demand both nationally and internationally.
