Mission Statement:
The Center for Disaster and Humanitarian Assistance Medicine (CDHAM) is a university-based organization under the Department of Military and Emergency Medicine, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). The CDHAM actively engages in various studies supported by the Department of Defense (DoD), the Commander in Chiefs (CINCs), and other federal agencies. Uniquely positioned as an academic center within USUHS, the center works to develop relationships between various governmental, non-governmental, and private volunteer organizations as a means of improving relief efforts, and to advance the understanding of disaster medical care and humanitarian assistance worldwide.
