HPDanti-tank mineThe mine has one fuze well and an integral battery. The HPD (Haut Pouvoir de Destruction) antitank mine is one of a series of mines developed by several manufacturers that allow either mechanical or manual emplacement by the ARE or Matenin minelayers. All these mines have a flat irregular shape and are approximately 280x185 mm with a height of 105 mm. The HPD mine comprises a plastic case containing a power supply, fuzing system and dual explosive charge. Fuzing requires a double influence signature, seismic and magnetic, prior to activation. The dual signature requirements allows the mine to be used as a full-width attack mine. An initial clearing charge removes a cover above the mine, allowing a more efficient firing of the main explosive shaped charge. The mine is capable of penetrating 70 mm of belly armour with 10.0 cm of earth cover. The mine uses a 10-minute arming delay that assists in safe mechanical emplacement.Diameter: 105mm Length: 280mm Weight: 5kg Range:10mFrance
