Innovation Leader

Spencer Law is a senior Media Arts & Design and History major working on the Black in Harrisonburg project. He has two minors in Honors Interdisciplinary Studies and African, African American, and Diaspora Studies. He currently serves as an Advisory Board member at the Shenandoah Valley Black Heritage Project where he focuses on connecting the JMU community with the Black community in Harrisonburg through history. He is also interested in promoting the inclusion of LGBTQ individuals in music, especially transgender voices. Spencer is passionate about using music to build relationships between diverse groups, transcend social boundaries, and form a diverse community. He personally enjoys playing the saxophone, guitar, and ukulele, singing, and attending music-related events whenever possible.
