Spring 2016 Options
- Five Mondays; 2/08-3/28 from 10 AM - 1:30 PM at SSC (apply by 2/40, or
- Four Tuesdays; 2/16-4/12 from 12:30 PM - 4 PM at SSC (apply by 2/5).
Individual scholarly productivity will be fostered through participation in a writing community that encourages and supports the cultivation and completion of writing projects. This facilitated scholarship community offers faculty a space to: develop a scholarly writer’s profile; create a writing project plan; participate in guided peer review of drafts; dedicate time to writing and editing; and celebrate success. Whether working on a manuscript, book project, or other writing or creative project, this experience will help scholars move toward project completion.
Faculty participants will make progress toward these scholarship area outcomes:
- Enhancing scholarly productivity,
- Forming collaborative scholarly projects with students, faculty, & staff at JMU and other institutions, and
- Advancing scholarly skills and output.

- Advancing a scholarly writing project,
- Developing a scholarly writer’s profile, and
- Moving a writing project through a guided peer review process.
