Why CFI: The CFI model of “faculty empowering faculty” speaks to my experiences as a faculty member at JMU and elsewhere. Empowering other faculty to reach their professional goals also inspires reflections of my own professional goals. The CFI provides an opportunity to work with faculty from other disciplines, which enriches my worldview as an academic.
