CFI Career Planning programs provide opportunities for faculty at all stages of their careers to set clear goals, identify concrete action plans, and document effectiveness and excellence, while viewing their various activities as connected to an integrated career whole. Among other programs, we are involved in creating orientations for faculty (the annual Faculty Welcome and New Faculty Academy), provide one-on-one career consultations, facilitate Madison Career Fellows groups on a variety of career questions, support faculty who apply for the SCHEV Outstanding Faculty Awards, and organize annual institutes in which faculty assemble portfolios that document their achievements. Throughout these programs, our work emphasizes the values of collaboration, inclusiveness, and integration as we work with faculty in a diverse and evolving range of roles, responsibilities, projects, and commitments.
