Break Description
Join us for this 2023 Fall Break with Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity of West Virginia! Their mission is to bring people together "to build homes, communities, and hope in southeastern West Virginia."
We expect to work on a variety of projects related to new home construction, rehabs and repairs. No previous construction experience is necessary. They'll teach us everything we need to know to stay safe and make a positive contribution to realizing a new homeowner's dream.
We’ll stay in Almost Heaven Habitat's volunteer center, which is housed in a nearby church. It includes dorm-style rooms with bunk beds and showers. Plan to bring your own pillow, sheets/sleeping bag, and bath towels. We'll prepare our meals in the center's kitchen.
Almost Heaven Habitat strives to be accessible and to accommodate the needs of volunteers. They assure us that there will be meaningful work for volunteers with mobility issues. That being said, all locations may not be accessible to those who use wheelchairs. If you’re interested in participating and need accommodations, please let us know so that we can coordinate with our partners.
We're so excited for you to join us as we serve our neighbors in beautiful Appalachia!
Registration for 2023 is closed.
