Dr. Terry Dean is Professor of Theatre. He served as Director of the School of Theatre and Dance (STAD) for five years. Terry led STAD towards the infusion of diversity throughout its curriculum and programmatic activities. His interests as an artist, scholar, and leader focus on the inclusion of historically under-represented voices within art, culture, and politics and the ways in which this impacts both aesthetics and social justice. STAD’s recent productions demonstrate the ways in which theatre becomes a place on our campus in which diversity issues can be experienced, discussed, and debated such that we can be inspired to seek positive social change.
