TIED 450. Directed Occupational Experience. 3 credits.

Student employment for a minimum of 400 hours (10 weeks) in an occupational area which is industrial or technical in nature. This will occur in the summer prior to the senior year. Experience is approved and supervised by the university, with a detailed occupational analysis and evaluation required by the student.

TIED 481. Seminar in Trade and Industrial Education . 2 credits.

A follow-up study to student teaching. Issues discussed will center around the student teaching experience including special problems encountered, characteristics of the trade and industrial education program, duties of the instructor and classroom management.

TIED 490. Special Studies in Trade and Industrial Education. 1-3 credits, repeatable to 6 credits.

Designed to give capable students in trade and industrial education an opportunity to complete independent study under faculty supervision. Prerequisite: Recommendation of the instructor and permission of the department head.
