ELED 112. Introduction to Teaching Science to the Young Child. 1 credit.

Study of the connections between science content and the knowledge base for instruction in early and middle education. Corequisite: BIO 101; Prerequisite: Enrollment in Science/Education Partnership Grant project.

ELED 113. Introduction to Teaching Science in the Middle Grades. 1 credit.

Study of the connections between science content and the knowledge base for instruction in early and middle education. Corequisite: GEOL 100.

ELED 401. Problems in Elementary Education. 1-3 credits.

Considers current problems and issues in elementary education as they relate to the professional education of teachers. Prerequisite: Permission of the department head.

ELED 490. Special Studies in Elementary Education. 1-3 credits.

Designed to give capable students an opportunity to engage in the independent study of educational problems under faculty guidance. The plan for the study must be approved by the faculty adviser and the department head prior to registration.

ELED 499. Honors in Elementary Education. 3 credits.
