Local Experts & Neighbors!

The JMU Office for the Advancement of Sustainable Energy (OASE) joins the nonprofits American Solar Energy Society (ASES) and Solar United Neighbors (SUN) to showcase solar-powered homes in the Harrisonburg area and across North America for the 24th Annual National Solar Tour, the world’s largest grassroots solar event.

  • From 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM participants will have the opportunity to network with solar installers, attend informative presentations, and participate in a local Solar Home Tour.

  • From 12:30 to 3:30 PM community members can see real-life examples of how their neighbors are harnessing free energy from the sun to generate electricity, warm and cool their homes, heat water and slash monthly utility bills and is hosted in coordination with the Solar United Neighbors & American Solar Energy Society’s 2019 National Solar Tour.
