My Career Journey

Currently serving as an Assistant Director of Assessment at James Madison University, Sarah leads assessment efforts for the University Career Center, Office of Community Service Learning and Office of Orientation and Transition. Her role includes coordinating data analysis of office engagement data, consulting as a part of the implementation of a division wide Curricular Approach, analyzing and reporting on First Destination Data, and driving student programming through program theory and intentional learning outcomes. Prior to acquiring a full-time role in Assessment, Sarah served as a Residence Director for 3 years, working in Housing and Residence Life at both Radford University and Appalachian State University. Sarah received her bachelors degree in Biochemistry from Mansfield University in Pennsylvania and her Masters Degree in Student Affairs Administration from Appalachian State University. Outside of work Sarah enjoys spending time with family, trail running, hiking, and all things water (swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, river tubing etc.).
