Responsibilities
  • Advise 70 first year undeclared students, providing help with registration, major declaration, and supplying resources pertaining to JMU academia through email, appointments, and Canvas
  • Provide career counseling to JMU undergraduate/graduate students for roughly 10 hours per week
  • Serve as the Liaison to the College of Health and Behavioral Studies and provide 20+ class presentations a year, career resources and updates to students and faculty
  • Teach a UNST 102 section to a group of first year students, concerning major/ career exploration once per academic year
  • Assist with major event programming, such as Career Fair, Nurse Recruitment Day and Open Houses
Education
  • M.Ed. in College Student Personnel Administration from James Madison University
  • B.S. in English and Psychology from Radford University
