Office Hours

I am a graduate student working in Dr. James Herrick’s lab. I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology with a concentration in Microbiology at James Madison University in 2019. I conducted undergraduate research with Dr. Herrick, working on potential bacterial pathogen isolation from stream sediment from the Shenandoah Valley. My current research focuses on the comparative genomic analyses of mobile genetic elements in Salmonella enterica. I hope to develop an analysis pipeline that can be scaled to even the largest data sets as well as to explore how these mobile genetic elements influenced and continue to influence Salmonella distribution.
