I began my graduate studies in the Fall of 2015.  I am interested in plant-microbe interactions, tripartite symbioses in below ground communities, the methodologies of plant cell and tissue culture, sustainable agrotechnology, effector biology and intergenomic epistasis.  My research investigates the possibility of using a novel plant:microbe system (Dionaea muscipula:Burkholderia phytofirmans strain PsJN) to enhance the propagation and acclimatization of an endangered plant (venus fly trap).
