Donated by Bruce and Lois ('64) Forbes on March 14, 2008 to celebrate JMU's Centennial, this bronze statue of James Madison looks across campus from just outside the ISAT/CS building.

Bruce and Lois ('64) Forbes with artist Lee Leuning (at right) at the dedication of the statue.

Lee Leuning, born in Minnesota, worked as a wildlife officer for almost thirty years in Tennessee and South Dakota. Working in both watercolor and bronze sculpture, Lee creates works that appeal to a broad public.
