Eric has been a career woodworker for more than 30 years.

At the age of 15, Eric Morris started working in a Chantilly, Va. millwork shop.  Later, he spent two years in Worcester, Mass. at the Worcester Center for Crafts, where he studied furniture making and design with Robert March, a New England furniture maker. Before coming to JMU, he owned and operated Luray Woodworks in Luray, Va.

Morris found his woodworking home at JMU in the Duke Hall woodshop.

"I can't think of a more fun place to share my woodworking skills than SADAH. Students love working with wood, our shop and capabilities are endless, and students often explore working with all sorts of wood projects."

Morris is a Small Group Leader with JMU's Alternative Break Program, where students serve different types of people and communities in need.
