Spring Interpretive Internship

Interpretive Interns will gain experience working in an Arboretum environmental education setting. Interns will work with the Arboretum Education Coordinator to lead interpretive guided tours to grade-school students, conduct and develop environmental education-based programs, and conduct outreach tabling events within the community. Interns will receive training and experience in interpretive techniques including researching, preparing tours, developing lesson plans, utilizing effective teaching strategies, identifying common native plant species, bird identification, and a broad understanding of arboretum facility management. Applicants should have a desire to work with kids and learn about native flora and fauna.
