Incoming JMU students now complete the Incoming Student Skills and Attitudes Questionnaire (ISSAQ) in their OneBook process. First-year and transfer advisors will receive a dashboard view of their students’ ISSAQ results as a tool for outreach and conversation with new students.

In collaboration with Dr. Paul Mabrey, QEP Director, the Advising Resource and Collaboration (ARC) Network invites you to join us for an hour-long community conversation on this new tool.

This session’s topic will explore what the incoming student ISSAQ data means and how to leverage ISSAQ data and resources to provide support students early during the semester. Come ready to discuss your own experiences using ISSAQ data, questions about ISSAQ student data you have encountered, and feedback on ISSAQ resources.

Objectives:

1. Develop awareness about the ISSAQ student data

2. Identify resources to support student and advisor use of ISSAQ data

3. Share strategies for using ISSAQ student data to support students
