STEM Day gives prospective students and their families an inside look into the STEM programs offered at JMU. In this invitation-only program, students will meet with JMU professors and students, eat lunch on campus, and have hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art labs. We start the day off with an information session to answer all your general questions. Then, students and parents will explore campus and get an insider's look into STEM @ JMU.

Join us on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 for STEM Day!

STEM at JMU is more than science, technology, engineering and mathematics. It is innovation, collaboration and discovery.

  • JMU is unique because we combine highly specialized majors with research and technical components in a broader liberal-arts curriculum. This combination produces highly capable students who also possess a broad perspective in an increasingly complex world.
  • At JMU research really can start freshman year. Other universities often reserve research opportunities for graduate students.
  • STEM classes and labs are small, allowing professors to help students get the most out of their Madison experience.

Come see what STEM is like at JMU's STEM Day!
