We are excited to welcome you and your family to campus for our November 9 Academic Open House and hope that you will find the following information useful to prepare for your visit!

What To Expect:

A busy day. We will be utilizing our entire campus to showcase our various academic programs, through information sessions, campus tours, and other opportunities. You will have many options of how to spend your day - please see below to narrow down your interests.

A popular experience. As our most comprehensive campus visit event, we typically welcome over 1,000 students and their families to campus on each Open House date. We recommend following all driving and parking information that will be sent via email the week of the event and arriving to check in early.

We Recommend:

Early Check-in. Arriving to town on Friday between 4 and 7 pm? Come check in early - Learn More

Arriving early on Saturday. At check-in, you will receive a full program of events and campus map.

Explore campus. Our beautiful campus is very walker-friendly and we encourage you to ask staff and volunteers for directions to your destination. Many buildings are a quicker walk than shuttle bus ride!

Weather-appropriate attire. Please check the weather and plan accordingly!

An adventurous attitude. Today is about what you want to experience, so there is no set schedule. Pick and choose events to attend based on your interests and what you hope to learn about JMU.
