Using the Course Evaluation Tasks Navigation Item in Canvas

By default, "Course Evaluation Tasks” will be visible on your Canvas course navigation menu. If you use Canvas in your course, it is recommended that you keep this item visible on the menu and encourage students to use it during the evaluation period. As an instructor, you can use the link to monitor response rates and complete other tasks.

If you wish to hide the item from your navigation menu until the evaluation period opens, see the instructions below. You can always make it visible again when the evaluation period opens. If you choose to keep the item hidden, your students will still have access to the evaluation through a link provided in auto-generated emails from the system. They can also access Blue through MyMadison.

How to Hide a Canvas Navigation Menu Item

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Drag "Course  Evaluation Tasks" to the "Drag items here..." section.
  3. Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

  3. Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
