Break Description

East Coast Migrant Head Start Program is an organization that has 26 locations along the east coast. Their mission is to prepare the children of migrant and seasonal farm workers for success. They do this by providing holistic, high-quality early childhood education services for children and families in a nurturing, culturally-sensitive environment, and by providing services and advocating for children and families in their other areas of need.

As volunteers on this break, we will have the opportunity to assist in the classroom, helping provide education to the children in this area, as well as assisting with whatever the teachers need us to do. We will be able to learn from the teachers in the program as well as from the children and families we will be working with.

We encourage anyone interested to attend this break! This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know a community of people and assist in providing quality education to children of migrant families. Please reach out to Emma or Roz with any questions.
