Break Description

dismas-house.png

Dismas House is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide housing and post-release services and programs for adults recently released from incarceration. Dismas House is able to cut the national rate of re-offending in half by providing housing, meals, case management, tutoring, employment services, life skills, workshops, counseling, mentoring, and other applicable programs. They emphasize the importance of family through family meals and other aspects of the residents’ day to form bonds that’ll help them through the reentry process. Without the help of student volunteers, Dismas House wouldn’t be able to provide the extensive services they do. We encourage you to come and help us with various projects around the facility and build meaningful connections with the staff, other volunteers, and residents!

We hope you join us and make this break meaningful for everyone involved!
