Break Description

The-Samaritan-Women.pngThe Samaritan Women was founded in 2007, and is known as Maryland’s first long-term residential program for survivors of domestic human sex-trafficking. Their operations take place on an urban farm and in a restored 1983 Victorian mansion. They offer a comprehensive, multi-phased, trauma-informed residential care program that is designed to meet every woman where she is in the healing process. The Samaritan Women’s unique Care Model invests in each woman therapeutically, academically, vocationally, spiritually, socially, and in self-care. Residents typically remain in care for 2+ years as they work through their traumas, develop independent living skills, grow spiritually and communally, regain their health and confidence, and make those important steps to self-sufficiency.

Spend your weekend serving with The Samaritan Women! Volunteers play a vital role in their residential programs and community education efforts. They address critical community needs and sustain the efforts of their ministry. Make an impact!
