Break Description

Clagett.pngClagett Farms is a part of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation conservation organization. At this farm, the ultimate goal is to use farmng methods that are sustainable both economically and environmentally. The farm raises crop and beef cattle while supporting community programs, such as providing free and reduced-price vegetables to people living in and near poverty in the Washington, D.C. area. Join us in serving the farm and working on projects such as harvesting sustainably grown vegetables, watering, weeding, and fertilizing plants in the Native Tree and Shrub Nursery, or working to bale and move hay for the grass-fed beef and sheep operation.

*We might be camping on the farm! If you don't have any camping hear, don't fear; we will work with UREC to coordinate the appropriate gear.*
