Break Description

Welcome to Arches National Park! Come join us as we accept the challenge of removing invasive species, woody debris (tamarisk), and any other threats to the wellbeing of this unique national park.  Our work will serve as invaluable resource protection by eliminating the tamarisk that creates a fuel hazard to native flora when natural wildfires occur. This ultimately will help ecologists analyze what changes to this ecosystem are normal, so prepare to get your hands dirty!

Their mission is: “to protect extraordinary examples of geologic features including arches, natural bridges, windows, spires, balanced rocks, as well as other features of geologic, historic, and scientific interest, and to provide opportunities to experience these resources and their associated values in their majestic natural settings.

We will be camping under the stars at the Devils Garden Campground for the duration of the week so get ready to immerse yourself into a transformative environmental experience!
