Break Description

Sheffield Place provides unique services for the homeless population of mothers and children in Kansas City, Missouri. So far they have helped over 1000 families transition into stable housing. Sheffield Place provides trauma, mental health, and addiction recovery by professional therapists typically spanning a three-month period. All of these services are provided onsite and supervised until the families can transition into permanent housing. In these ways, Sheffield Place demonstrates its firm conviction that the underlying trauma of each client’s life must be addressed for healing and self-sufficiency to occur.
