Interested in cross-listing or proposing a new course in Women’s Studies?

Procedure for cross-listing and proposing new courses (WMST 300) for Women’s Studies credit:

1. Provide by email to the Women’s Studies coordinator(s), Dr. Mary Thompson (thompsmx) and Dr. Jessica Davidson (davidsjb), a copy of the course syllabus including descriptions of projected primary and secondary readings.


2. Provide a brief explanation of why your course is appropriate for inclusion in the Women’s Studies curriculum: how does your teaching philosophy and approach to the material reflect feminist methodologies? how does your course highlight the experiences and contributions of women?  how does it represent the historical and cultural diversity of women?  how does the course material reflect feminist scholarship?  how does the course encourage critical thinking and an open environment for the exploration of women’s roles and representations?
