Stephanie Ayres Bowlin (’01) and her husband, Eric (’02), are active in the JMU Alumni Association, hold season tickets to JMU football and are members of the Madison Founders Society. Stephanie joined the Women for Madison Executive Advisory Council in 2018. Stephanie earned her BS in public policy and administration from JMU, where she was a member of the Marching Royal Dukes, the Color Guard and the Residence Hall Association.

She supports the College of Business, College of Visual and Performing Arts, College of Arts and Letters, Dean and Joanne Ehlers Scholarship, Deloitte Foundation Campaign Endeavor for the COB Learning Complex, Football Excellence Fund, Madison Fund, Madison Vision Fund, IT Consulting Excellence, Alumni Relations, Atlantic Union Bank Center, Richmond Alumni Chapter Scholarship and the Dolley Madison–Dukes Pay It Forward Scholarship.

A big believer in continuing education, Stephanie has earned several certifications, including a certificate in program planning and one in faculty development. She also completed the mini-MBA program at the University of Richmond. She served on the advisory board of Learning Resources Network and has presented at several national conferences. Stephanie has also worked with the Community Associations Institute, with her last role as senior manager of education programs, as well as at the University of Richmond as the manager of professional development programs for the School of Professional and Continuing Studies. Since 2013, Stephanie has served as executive assistant to the headmaster at The Steward School.
