You're now at your site's Control Panel
This is "home base" for your work in the JMU Web Manager. From this location you can edit your pages, customize your navigation, change your look, view your live and preview sites, update your live site or create a sub-site.

Page Editing
The page editing section of the Control Panel gives access to tools to create, modify and delete individual pages on your site.
Edit the Home Page - Click this button to edit the Home Page you created during your first editing session.
Add a New Page - Click this button to create a new page for your site.
Existing Page Editor - A window contains the list of filenames that exist in your site (the homepage "index.shtml" is not including on the list). You may select a page from the list and click the Edit, Delete or Rename buttons directly below the window. If you delete or rename a page on the list, the corresponding page on your preview site and the preview site navigation will automatically be updated with the new information.
Customize Your Navigation
Click this button to open the navigation editor. Use the navigation editor to reorder, rename and group the internal links on your site as well as to add links to Web resources outside your site. It's generally a good idea to visit the navigation editor at the end of any editing session and before your Update the Live Site.
Managing the Look
This area of the Control Panel shows the
look that is currently selected and gives you the ability to select
a different look.
Selecting a new look effectively redesigns your preview site in a matter of moments. No changes occur to your live site until you click the Update the Live Site button.
Site
Management
This area of your Control Panel contains functions that act on your entire site.
Manage Site Library provides access to the an area where you can store images, PDFs, movies, sounds, or any other kind of file to support your Web site.
Clicking the View Preview Site and View Live Site will launch new Web browser windows to display the current contents of your preview and live sites. The preview site shows what you've edited in the JMU Web Manager but not yet published. The live site is what is actually viewed by your Web visitors.
Update the Live Site copies the current preview site files into your live site and makes them available for your Web visitors. You will be asked to verify your selection when you click this button you cannot undo this operation!
Sub-Site
Use the Create Sub-Site
button to generate a new Web site
in a directory "underneath" your current site. A sub-site can
(but doesn't have to) have a different look. The sub-site
will have it's own navigation, although links between your current
site and the sub-site will be established by default (you can
choose to eliminate either on the next screen).

Edit a Different Web site
Click the button in this area to return to your list of Web site you can edit with the JMU Web Manager.
