Professor of Intelligence Analysis

Dr. Tim Walton traces how his career brought him to JMU, beginning with his time spent in the Navy to his career with the CIA after he completed his graduate studies.  His research centers on the history of intelligence, and how to improve the intelligence analysis process through lessons learned from past intelligence operations.  Dr. Walton was the driving force behind a recent conference--Intelligence and the Transition from War to Peace, which focused on the role of intelligence during the Bosnian War in the 1990s.
