Engagement

Learning activities that cultivate Engagement with issues related to civic life include but are not limited to:

• Studying Abroad
• Taking a 300- or 400-level course on a focused topic or devising an independent study
• Initiating and supervising a service-learning project
• Conducting research for a paper or presentation on a particular issue or cause or problem

These activities typically have stated learning outcomes such as: the ability to synthesize explain sophisticated concepts, to collect, analyze, and interpret primary data, or to evaluate and articulate needs.
